3. Products & Pricing
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price confirmed at the time your order is accepted.
Product descriptions, specifications, and images are provided for guidance only. While we take care to ensure accuracy, minor variations may occur. We are not liable for any inaccuracies in manufacturer-provided specifications.
We reserve the right to withdraw any product from sale at any time and to correct any pricing errors. If a pricing error is identified on your order, we will contact you before proceeding.
4. Ordering
Orders can be placed online via our store, by telephone, or in person at our premises. An order acknowledgement does not constitute acceptance. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order has been accepted and payment has been received.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Products being out of stock or discontinued
- Errors in pricing or product descriptions
- Inability to verify your identity or payment details
- Delivery not being possible to your address
If we cancel your order, a full refund will be issued promptly.
5. Payment
Payment is required in full before goods are dispatched or installation is scheduled, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods stated at checkout or agreed at the point of sale.
All payment transactions are processed securely. We do not store your full card details. If a payment fails or is declined, we will contact you to resolve the issue before your order is processed.
6. Delivery
We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. Delivery timescales are estimates only and we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. We will always do our best to keep you informed of any delays.
Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. Ownership of the products passes to you once payment has been received in full.
If a delivery fails due to circumstances within your control (e.g. no one available to receive it), additional delivery charges may apply.
Please inspect all products upon receipt and notify us of any damage or missing items within 48 hours of delivery.
7. Installation
Installation services are quoted individually based on your garden size, layout, and the product being installed. A quote will be provided before any installation work is scheduled.
You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the garden area and for obtaining any necessary permissions (e.g. from landlords or neighbours) before installation day.
We will carry out installation work with reasonable care and skill. Following installation, we will walk you through the setup and ensure you are confident using your machine before we leave.
We are not responsible for any pre-existing damage to your property or for damage caused by unforeseeable obstructions not disclosed at the time of booking.
8. Demonstrations
Our demonstration events are free to attend and are held regularly. They are provided for information purposes only and attendance does not create any obligation to purchase.
The exact location of each demonstration event is confirmed by email after registration. We reserve the right to change the location, date, or cancel an event at any time. Where events are cancelled, we will notify registered attendees as soon as possible.
MAD Mowers accepts no liability for any loss, inconvenience, or expense arising from a demonstration event being changed or cancelled.
Attendees visit demonstration sites at their own risk. Please follow any safety instructions given on the day.
9. Returns & Refunds
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are not affected by these terms.
Online purchases — right to cancel: If you purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us in writing within the cancellation period. Goods must be returned in their original, unused condition at your cost unless otherwise agreed. We will issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
Faulty or not as described: If a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us as soon as you become aware of any issue.
Exclusions: The right to cancel does not apply to products that have been installed, used, or customised at your request, or to services that have already been performed in full with your consent.
10. Warranty
All products are sold with the benefit of the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer — please refer to the documentation included with your product.
Warranty claims are handled in accordance with the manufacturer's terms. We will assist you in making a warranty claim where possible. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised repair, or normal wear and tear.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.
11. Limitation of Liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant products or services.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income, profit, or opportunity, loss of data, or damage to property not directly caused by our negligence.
