Wrong kind of leaves on the lawn.

There is nothing quite like the look of the leaves turning orange in the autumn, then covering the lawn in a colourful blanket. But by now any left in the corner of the law will be becoming a nasty mush.

If you still have leaves on the lawn, on a good dry day you should remove them. Also, if over the last few months other items – children’s toys, the odd bucket or flower pot – have found their way onto the lawn, now is the time to remove them.

The grass under these objects will yellow or even die and certainly can become susceptible to disease. As the days begin to lengthen make sure that the light can get to the lawn… it will thank you in turn with an all-over green flourish.
